Smart Shield technology that is 3-step purifying
Smart Shield technology that is 3-step purifying, from a specially developed compound HEPA type filter through carbon filter and macro-particle non woven filter to a UV lamp, guarantees that the air where our device works is completely safe.
- HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air filter) is a highly efficient air filter used for disinfecting the air. HEPA filters are used in rooms for work in sterile environment. They are made of sintered glass, ensure air filtration through pores of 0.3 µm. They stop most (at least 99.97%) of mechanical pollutants larger than 0.3 µm., as well as fungi, protozoa and bacteria cells, and most viruses. Filters of this type are used e.g. in state-of-the-art vacuum cleaners.
- - A carbon filter (with active carbon) has small, very absorptive pores and a large absorptive surface (per weight unit). It is a material which binds chemical compounds very well. Often it is modified, e.g. by impregnating with additional chemicals in order to direct its adsorption abilities to adsorption of specific compounds (e.g. heavy metals). Pollutants which go through such a filter, react with carbon, bind it, and are “trapped”.
Filters based on active carbon effectively eliminate the following from the air:
- smoke,
- odours,
- chemicals,
- some gases.
Filter exchange is recommended every six months – however, it depends on the level of air pollution in the room where the device works. The filters can be purchased in our shop.
