GOCLEVER may collect information about you in several different ways. Please take care when submitting information to us, in particular when completing free text fields or uploading documents and other materials.

Information that you provide us

Whenever you interact with GOCLEVER, you may be asked to provide us with information relating to you:

  • When creating your accounts, we may ask you to provide a range of information, such as your name, date of birth, contact details, newsletter preferences.
  • When you purchase, register, send for repair or return one of our products online, we may ask you to provide information such as your contact details, delivery date, payment information.
  • When you contact our technical service centers for assistance, we may keep information about the call, including your name, the product(s) you bought, the reason why you contacted us and the advice we gave you.

Information we collect from other sources

We may also collect information from publically available sources and third parties. If you purchase products from GOCLEVER online stores or other retailer, we may receive certain information about your purchase from that retailer.

Information we collect in relation to social networks

If you use any of our social network applications or pages that allow interaction with social networks, we may receive information relating to your social network accounts. If you log-in to one of our websites using your social network account, we may receive basic details from your social network profile. The basic details we receive may depend on your social network account privacy settings, however, they might include your social network ID, name, profile picture, gender and locale. We may also receive additional information from your profile if you give us permission to access it.

Information we collect when you use GOCLEVER website.

GOCLEVER website and GOCLEVER on-line stores provide GOCLEVER with information about your use of it, including details of the content that you view and interact with. Your global GOCLEVER ID

Your global GOCLEVER ID account is a passport to all GOCLEVER websites worldwide. Once you have created an account, you will be able to log into many support services worldwide or register more than one product without needing to register for a new account each time.

Contents of your GOCLEVER ID account

Your GOCLEVER ID account contains common information that may be used by us to provide our supported services. This includes:

  • Common ID: a unique account number used by GOCLEVER to distinguish your account from other.
  • Authentication Information: your username (i.e. your email address), your password, your selected country of residence and your date of birth.
  • Personal details: basic account information, such as your name, gender, postal address (if needed) and telephone number.
  • Marketing preference: This lets us know whether or not you would like to receive information, offers and newsletters from the GOCLEVER.

Other uses of your ID account details

GOCLEVER business partners may also use the information contained in your account for the following purposes.

  • Customer Support to handle your queries.
  • News and offers.

International transfers of your information

Your information may be transferred to GOCLEVER local offices and other third parties in countries which do not have the same level of data protection laws as those in the country where you are located.

Marketing communications

When you provide us with contact details, such as when you purchase a product, send a product to our Central Technical Department (RMA and service) contact our technical support call centers or create an account on our website, you may be given the opportunity to opt-in to receiving various newsletters and other communications from us. These communications may include details about the latest GOCLEVER products, including upgrades and special offers in which you may be interested.
You can change your marketing communication preferences at any time. If you would like to unsubscribe from an email sent to you, follow the ‘unsubscribe’ link and/or instructions placed (typically) at the bottom of the email. Please note that we may occasionally send you important information about GOCLEVER products and services that you are using or have used. These emails are not affected by your marketing communication preferences.

Children’s privacy

GOCLEVER considers a child to by anyone under the age of 15. We do not knowingly seek or collect personal information from or about children without the consent of a parent or guardian. If GOCLEVER becomes aware that personal information that has been submitted to relates to a child without the consent of a parent or guardian, GOCLEVER will use reasonable efforts to:

  • Delete that personal information from its files as soon as possible.
  • Ensure, where deletion is not possible, that this personal information is not used further for any purpose, nor disclosed further to any third party.
